    Celtic STEM (C-STEM) Scholarship Application for Fall 2022 Entry

    The Celtic STEM (C-STEM) Initiative Scholarship Program at Carlow University is funded through the National Science Foundation (NSF) S-STEM Scholarship Program, and is designed to support full-time undergraduate students majoring in biology*, chemistry, or data analytics. Scholarships will be awarded for up to four years for traditional first-year students, and up to two years for transfer students. Scholarships will vary in amount up to $10,000 per year (based on financial need). Scholarship recipients will participate in the C-STEM Scholars Learning Community.

    To qualify, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
    • Be a U.S. Citizen, national, refugee alien, or legal permanent resident.
    • Be admitted as a new Carlow student for entry in Fall 2022. (Current Carlow students are not eligible to apply.)
    • Have at least a 3.000 GPA from high school or from the higher education institution from which they are transferring.
    • Be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant and demonstrate unmet financial need, as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
    • Declare a major in biology (with no concentration), biology with a concentration in environmental science and management, biology with a concentration in human biology, chemistry, or data analytics.
    • Complete the C-STEM scholarship application.
    • Participate in an interview (virtual or otherwise) with the selection committee.
     
    *Specializations/concentrations of the biology major focusing on health/medical professions (cardiovascular perfusion) are ineligible to apply. Questions should be directed to dlgallaher@carlow.edu.
