Graduate Nursing Admissions Requirements
To apply to Carlow's graduate nursing programs, you must:
  • Be a graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale documented by an official transcript.
  • Have a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Have successfully completed an undergraduate (RN to MSN, MSNL) course in statistics (completed in the last 6 years), and a graduate (HHAP) course in statistics (completed within the last 6 years).
  • Submit three recommendation forms addressing the candidate’s potential to succeed in graduate nursing education.
  • Meet both university and clinical agency health requirements.
  • Submit a personal statement indicating goals for graduate nursing education.
  • Participate in a personal interview with a member of the Graduate Program Subcommittee.
  • Carry current nursing liability insurance coverage at $1,000,000/$3,000,000.
  • Submit a completed Graduate Program Admission Form and application fee of $35 by the published deadline.

Applicants for the post-master’s program must provide evidence of successful completion of an approved Master of Science in Nursing program and courses in Advanced Pathophysiology, and content in family theory.


Admission to the graduate program is based on academic and professional qualifications without regard to sex, race, color, disability, creed, or ethnic origin.
