Eligibility Requirements

1. Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year.
2. Must comply with Carlow University’s academic progress policies (PDF).
3. Must not be in default on an educational loan and must not owe a repayment on an adjusted federal grant.
4. Must be enrolled in an eligible degree program.
5. Must be enrolled at least half-time* (6 credits for undergraduate students, 3 credits for graduate students).
6. Must be a citizen or eligible non-citizen with a valid Social Security number.

*Pell eligible students may receive a Federal Pell Grant as less than half-time.
*Non-matriculated and/or less than half-time students who are credit-worthy may apply for a non-federal alternative loan regardless of enrollment status.
